Beard lichen

Recommendation

Regular use of HYPOGEN CARE Beard Shampoo can virtually eliminate beard lichen, both preventively and acutely.

The beard and its skin should only be washed with HYPOGEN CARE beard shampoo. The beard shampoo is so mild and has such a low proportion of surfactants (detergents) that it cleans as gently as possible. It also has pathogen-inhibiting properties.

After washing, thoroughly rinse the beard and the cleaned skin areas - especially the areas affected by beard lichen to rinse off the frequently occurring beard lichen plaque that has come loose during shampooing.

Then apply HYPOGEN CARE LLS Care Cream to the skin - be gentle on the affected areas. The cream should be applied after every shower or cleaning. Basic care with the beard shampoo and LLS Care Cream significantly reduces the skin's susceptibility to beard lichen.

If the skin is generally very dry, HYPOGEN CARE beard care oil should be massaged into the skin before using LLS Care Cream . This should also be done gently on the areas of skin irritated by the beard lichen. Applying the beard care oil in this way relaxes the skin and reduces its susceptibility to tearing.

Now apply a thin layer of HYPOGEN CARE Wound Care Lotion locally to any pustular areas or HYPOGEN CARE Wound Care Fluid to larger areas of eczema. Do not wash or wipe off, but allow to absorb or dry. Cracked skin can also be treated locally with Wound Care Lotion (apply thinly).

If there is product residue in the beard (LLS Care Cream, Wound Care Lotion or Wound Care Fluid): Remove any product residue with a cloth or rub it into the beard.

The use of HYPOGEN CARE Facial Cleanser is recommended for problematic skin in other areas of the face.

The effect has been dermatologically confirmed: In general, good skin care following this recommendation can be expected to significantly alleviate beard lichen within a week in more than 90% of cases.

Features

Beard lichen (medically known as "tinea barbae", also known as "ringworm of the beard" in specialist literature) is a skin disease caused by fungi that occurs specifically in men. Externally, it is characterized by reddish, scaly, round patches. In highly inflammatory forms, there is also often a fever and peripheral lymph node involvement. Forced forms of beard lichen do not heal themselves, but require antimicrobial treatment.
