Basic care: Systematic care routines

The most important recommendation is that of regular use

Regular use reinforces the positive effects of each HYPOGEN CARE product, so that positive long-term effects can be seen.

HYPOGEN CARE supports the natural self-organization of skin, hair and beard and becomes their nature-identical component. This technology is our guarantee for healthy skin and beautiful hair.

The combination of HYPOGEN CARE products is recommended for care routines, as they are coordinated with each other. The combination of sublevactum formula and LLS system is particularly important in order to achieve optimum active and preventive effects.

Examples of systematic care routines include:

Care routine for the scalp

  • Wash the hair with HYPOGEN Care Shampoo or HYPOGEN Cleansing Shampoo. The Cleansing Shampoo contains less care and therefore makes the hair look lighter.
  • The choice of shampoo should be made according to the type and theme of the hair.
  • Further care of normal, non-irritated scalp is dermatologically confirmed not necessary in more than 95% of cases.
  • Only wash the hair with HYPOGEN Care Shampoo. Then apply HYPOGEN Skin Care Oil
  • To do this, spray Skin Care Oil onto your fingertips, then massage thinly and gently into the scalp - especially in irritated areas.
  • In the case of severely irritated scalps, gently apply HYPOGEN Wound Care Fluid to the affected areas using your fingertips - apply HYPOGEN Wound Care Lotion to extremely conspicuous areas. Both remain on the scalp and should mainly be applied overnight.
  • For detailed recommendations on the treatment of forced irritated scalp - for example as a result of eczema, acne, psoriasis or even neurodermatitis - the use of the navigator is recommended.

Care routine for the beard

  • Dry shaving is not recommended from a hypoallergenic point of view, as it represents a higher physical tearing potential on the skin. The following description therefore refers to a wet shave - however, the routine described can be transferred to a dry shave.
  • Moisten skin and hair with warm water before shaving. Then rub in HYPOGEN CARE Shave Balm until a fine film of foam forms. Now shave first with the grain and then against the grain if necessary. Then rinse thoroughly.
  • If the beard also needs to be washed after a trim, now would be the right time. Details on this can be found in the skin-specific care routines below.
  • Apply the aftershave balm to damp/wet skin and massage in gently. Remove any excess that has not been absorbed with a dry cloth or towel. Do not rinse the face.
  • Then apply HYPOGEN beard care oil. Apply the beard care oil to your fingertips, then massage it thinly and gently into the beard hair.
  • It is best to wash beard hair and facial skin in the beard area daily with HYPOGEN Beard Shampoo.
  • Then apply HYPOGEN beard care oil. Apply the beard care oil to your fingertips, then massage it thinly and gently into the beard hair.
  • Further care is dermatologically confirmed to be unnecessary in more than 95% of cases with normal, non-irritated skin.
  • Only wash beard hair and facial skin in the beard area with HYPOGEN Beard Shampoo.
  • Then apply HYPOGEN beard care oil. Apply the beard care oil to your fingertips, then massage it thinly and gently into the beard hair and skin - especially in dry or irritated areas.
  • If the skin is irritated, gently apply HYPOGEN Wound Care Fluid to the affected areas using your fingertips - apply HYPOGEN Wound Care Lotion to extremely conspicuous areas. Both remain on the skin and should mainly be applied overnight.

For detailed recommendations on the treatment of forced irritated skin - for example as a result of eczema, acne, psoriasis or neurodermatitis - we recommend using the glossary for acute care.

Care routine for skin in contact with the sun

The level of protection required depends on the individual's own protection time and the type, intensity and duration of sun exposure. The application lasts particularly long, but must be repeated if the treated skin has been exposed to abrasive friction. For example, the application should be repeated after drying off water or sweat with a towel or similar. The application can be repeated as often as required.

  • After Sun Care Cream
Apply generously to the skin after sun exposure and massage in. If the skin becomes irritated as a result of sun contact, especially sunburn, please refer to the Navigator for treatment recommendations.
