Acne

Features

Acne is characterized by increased sebum production(seborrhoea) and a keratinization disorder in the area of the sebaceous gland follicles. Acne is characterized by red, often inflamed and open areas of skin. Acne is often raised to the point of forming pustules.
The face, neck and décolleté, chest and back are mainly affected. Sometimes variants of acne also occur under the armpits and in the genital, buttock and groin regions.
